Receiving Inspection

Overview

A Part-145 receiving inspection course for stores, goods-inwards and receiving inspection staff. It covers the classification of components under 145.A.42(a), release certificates (EASA Form 1, FAA 8130-3) and equivalents, eligibility and traceability, the acceptance procedure and incoming physical inspection, standard parts and materials, supplier evaluation, installation eligibility against the maintenance data, special handling (shelf life, ESD, dangerous goods, calibrated equipment), segregation and quarantine, unserviceable/unsalvageable handling and mutilation, suspected unapproved parts, and fabrication of parts. Grounded in Part-145 point 145.A.42 with its AMC and GM, FAA AC 20-154A and UK CAA CAP 3037.

Course content is maintained against the latest applicable regulatory amendments reviewed as of 21 June 2026.

Final assessment

  • Format: 12 multiple-choice questions drawn from the course question bank, with the options shuffled each attempt.
  • Pass mark: 75%.
  • Certificate: issued automatically on passing, according to EASA Part-145 point 145.A.42 (Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014, as amended by (EU) 2022/1360) and its AMC & GM, and FAA Advisory Circular 20-154A.
